Abolição Oxford Capoeira

Group Abolição Oxford Capoeira

Group Abolição Oxford Capoeira was founded in Oxford in 1999 by Mestre Luis Negao. From small beginnings the group grew to be the popular and thriving club it is now. Many of the original members are still with the group and are now teaching and spreading its name and philosophy.

Our style of Capoeira is rooted in Regional Capoeira as created by mestre Bimba. We are always happy to welcome new members to join and practise Capoeira with us.

The Abolição Trust

In early 2005 Mestre Luis Negao founded a charity, The Abolição Trust. The Trust uses Capoeira to support young people in some of the poorest parts of the world. At Abolição Oxford we are continually looking for fundraising activities and opportunities to support The Trust. You can find out much more about this work at The Abolição Trust website.
